Twilight Switch TS-41-3 – Smart 230V Lighting Controller

The TS-41-3 twilight switch is a modern device designed for automatic switching of electrical loads such as street lights, building lighting, advertisements, blinds, and outdoor systems depending on ambient light intensity. It turns lights on at dusk and off at dawn (or vice versa), providing convenience and energy efficiency.

Construction and Components

The TS-41-3 set includes:

  • Controller TS-41 – non-flammable ABS housing (V0), DIN-rail mount (35 mm, 1 module, 18 mm),

  • External sensor in housing (IP65) – made of non-flammable ABS with a cable gland, designed for wall or vertical surface mounting (two screws included).

Connection cable between controller and sensor can be up to 1000 m long (using 2×0.5 mm² wire).

  • Galvanically isolated relay contacts: 1 NO + 1 NC, allowing multiple wiring configurations

    • 100–1000 lx – high-light applications (e.g. advertisements)

  • Proportional hysteresis: prevents frequent switching during cloudy conditions

  • Activation delay: approx. 60 s – protects from temporary light changes (e.g. car headlights, lightning)

  • LED indicators on controller:

    • Green – power supply present (230 V)

    • Red (blinking) – light threshold exceeded

    • Blue – relay switching ON/OFF

Installation and Use

  • DIN-rail mounting (35 mm) for the controller,

  • Wall-mounted external sensor (two stainless screws included),

  • Recommended sensor placement: east or southeast side – earlier morning switch-off saves energy and supports sustainability,

  • Avoid installing the sensor directly in the light beam – it may cause cyclic switching.
