Twilight Switch TS-41-3.4 – Smart Control for Lighting, Blinds and PV Systems
The TS-41-3.4 twilight switch automatically controls devices within a light intensity range of 100 to 100 000 lx — ideal for advertising panels, blinds, photovoltaic systems, and solar-powered CWU control. It switches ON at dusk and OFF at dawn (or vice versa), depending on the configuration.
Users often apply TS-41-3.4 in solar installations to control domestic hot water (CWU) systems during high sunlight using relay contacts 2–3.
Applications of TS-41-3.4
Perfect for:
-
advertising and LED lighting,
-
blind and shutter automation,
-
photovoltaic and solar heating systems,
-
building and industrial automation,
-
sunlight-controlled water heating systems.
Construction and Components
Set includes:
-
TS-41 controller – non-flammable ABS (V0) housing, DIN-rail mount (35 mm, 1 module 18 mm),
-
External sensor (IP65) – non-flammable ABS housing with cable gland, designed for wall mounting (two screws included).
Sensor cable length up to 1000 m (2 × 0.5 mm²).
Key Features and Benefits
-
Adjustment range: 100–100 000 lx (logarithmic)
-
100–1000 lx – for ads and lighting
-
1000–10 000 lx – for blinds and shutters
-
10 000–100 000 lx – for photovoltaic and solar control
-
-
High switching capacity: 16 A (4000 W) 250 V AC / 16 A (384 W) 24 V DC
-
Inrush current resistance: up to 100 A
-
Galvanically isolated NO/NC relay contacts – flexible wiring configurations
-
Proportional hysteresis for stable operation under varying light conditions
-
Activation delay (~60 s) prevents false triggering (e.g. from headlights or lightning)
-
LED indicators:
-
green – power supply present,
-
red (blinking) – threshold exceeded,
-
blue – relay switching status (1-2 / 2-3).
-
Installation and Use
-
Controller mountable on DIN 35 mm rail,
-
External sensor mountable on a vertical surface (2 screws included),
-
Recommended placement: east or southeast side, for optimal energy savings,
-
Avoid installing the sensor directly in a lamp’s light beam – it may cause cyclic switching.
Safety
Connection of the TS-41-3.4 twilight switch must be performed by a qualified electrician. Ensure proper circuit protection and compliance with electrical safety standards.
